Deseree’ was born and raised in the Champaign-Urbana area before moving to Rantoul, where she has resided since 2012. Beginning her career in property management as an Administrative Assistant, Deseree’ was recently promoted to Property Manager. Deseree’ has two daughters, a 12-year-old that she says “is smart, funny, outgoing, and beautiful,” and a one-year-old who she describes as “loving, beautiful, and sassy.” In her free time, Deseree’ likes to spend time with her children, friends, and family.
Deseree’ pursued the Habitat program after learning about it through a family connection, who is a Habitat homeowner. Her favorite part of the Habitat experience so far has been selecting a lot and signing the real estate contract; Deseree’ looks forward to giving back and building a home for her family. She feels the program and opportunity is important because “everyone deserves to have their forever home.”
When asked what she wants her children to experience during the home building process, Deseree’ says, “You have to work for what you want. Nothing will just be handed to you, and you can do anything you put your mind to.” To the Habitat volunteers and donors, Deseree’ says, “Thank you ALL for your hard work, time, and dedication! This opportunity wouldn’t be possible without each and every one of you. Me and my babies are forever grateful and blessed. Thank you for everything!”
